This website provides info about independent restaurants, cafes, pubs, and other places and things to do in Exeter.

The inspiration/motivation for creating the website came from visiting new places and finding it frustrating trying to use my phone to find good places to eat or things to do and avoid the tourist traps and chains. The idea is to provide lots of images and info in a condensed format to make it quick and easy to find the best places whilst you are out and about.

Currently just focussed on Exeter but might expand in the future to include nearby places like Topsham and Exmouth.

The restaurants generally aren't aware I am taking pictures for the site so I get served the same food anyone else would and I pay for all the photographed food.

"Why the name Vum?" It is completely random, just a short name/domain I found that hadn't been taken.

All the images are shot on a Fairphone 4.
