- Started out as Emma’s Bakery long before sourdough was popular and after a number of years move into the current quayside location next to the canal basin in 2017. Emma built up a strong reputation for the bakehouse, consistently producing the highest quality sourdough and other breads. If you see sourdough on a menu in town there is a good chance it came from Boatyard Bakery. In 2023 Emma sold the business to Ryders Bakery which is a Devon bakery chain and wholesalers.
